Man these Novas. Who knew they were such gold mines. I should try to claim the abandoned one at my apartment. It’s even older, and a wagon, so surely it is worth more.

My first car was a ‘76 Nova with a straight-six and three-speed manual. Two door. Pops up in a dream now and again. A/C didn’t work, which was a supreme disadvantage in Louisiana, where I was stationed.

A ‘74 or older, four-door, maybe. There are
many
wrecked 2010 and later Camaro 6-cylinders out there and one of those as a donor car might make a nice swap.

This is a first-gen one, and I have extreme doubts it has AC. The rear hatch window rolls down so you could get good airflow (it’s not clear it can stay rolled up all the way). The body is actually in good shape, with the exception of some rust on the tailgate, though the interior is not as clean. It hasn’t moved in over two years, though I’m pretty sure someone washed it and aired up the tires a year ago, so maybe it isn’t totally abandoned.

I’m thinking a late-model wrecked V6 Camaro would make a nice donor vehicle for a modern engine swap. It would have at least twice the power of that 305. And more MPGs, I would think.
